The service

Caulk Control removes and replaces caulking around bathtubs and showers in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, Ontario. The price is $225 per fixture plus HST, as shown when you book.

Booking and your card

When you book, your card is saved with our payment processor, Stripe. Nothing is charged at booking. After the job is finished, we charge the booked amount plus HST to that card and email you a receipt.

Cancelling and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours before your appointment by replying to your confirmation text. If you cancel within 24 hours, or nobody is there to let us in at the booked time, we charge a $50 late-cancel fee to the card on file.

What we find on site

We confirm the job from your photos, but some problems only show once the old caulk is out. If we find soft or rotted wall, failed tile, active leaks, or anything else beyond recaulking, we stop, show you what we found, and you are not charged. We may offer to quote the repair separately.

Curing

New silicone needs 24 hours before it gets wet. Water exposure before then can cause the seal to fail, and isn't covered by our workmanship guarantee.

Workmanship guarantee

If the new caulk peels, lifts or separates within 12 months under normal use, we'll come back and fix it at no charge. Mould growth caused by ongoing ventilation or water problems in the bathroom isn't covered.

Photos

We may take before and after photos of the caulked area. We only post them publicly without anything that identifies you or your address. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't post your photos at all.
